About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. You'll work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them feel safe, engaged and confident both inside and outside the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
- Building positive relationships with pupils through consistency, patience and encouragement.
- Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD and other additional needs.
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and promoting emotional regulation.
- Working alongside teachers to maintain a calm and positive learning environment.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and resilience.
- Recording progress and reporting observations to teaching staff.
- Promoting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
