Powder Coater in Grays, Borough of Thurrock

£31,000 – £35,500 per annum | Monday–Friday | Days | Optional Overtime

We are looking for an experienced Powder Coater / Powder Coating Operative to join a busy and established manufacturing business in Grays, Essex.

This is a permanent, workshop-based position offering regular Monday to Friday daytime hours. Overtime is available if you want it, but it isn't compulsory.

We're looking for somebody with previous hands-on powder coating, industrial coating or metal finishing experience who understands the process and can produce a consistent, high-quality finish.

The Role

· Powder coating steel and metal components

· Preparing metal components ready for coating

· Cleaning, degreasing, masking and plugging

· Setting up and operating powder coating equipment and spray guns

· Electrostatic powder coating

· Applying powder evenly to achieve the required finish

· Working with different powders, colours and finishes

· Curing coated components

· Inspecting finished products and checking coating quality

· Identifying defects and carrying out rework

· Loading and unloading components

· General workshop and production duties

Key Experience & Skills

· You will need previous practical powder coating experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, metalwork or a similar industrial environment.

· We're particularly interested in people with experience as a:

· Powder Coater | Powder Coating Operative | Industrial Powder Coater | Metal Finisher | Surface Finisher | Paint Sprayer | Industrial Painter

· You don't need formal qualifications. Practical experience and the ability to produce a good-quality finish are more important.

· If your background is primarily industrial paint spraying but you've also carried out powder coating, we'd still be interested in hearing from you.

Hours & Pay

· £31,000 – £35,500 per annum, depending on experience.

· Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:30pm

· Overtime available but completely optional.
