We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater/Sprayer to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role working with metal components, preparing surfaces and applying powder coatings to achieve a high-quality, consistent finish.
The successful Powder Coater will have previous experience using powder coating equipment and spray guns, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive or metalwork environment.
This is a great opportunity for a Powder Coating Operative, Paint Sprayer, Industrial Painter or Spray Painter looking for a permanent position with a well-established manufacturing business.
The Role As a Powder Coater/Sprayer, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing metal components for powder coating.
- Cleaning, degreasing and inspecting parts before coating.
- Masking and hanging components ready for the coating process.
- Setting up and operating powder coating spray guns and associated equipment.
- Applying powder evenly and consistently to customer specifications.
- Monitoring coating thickness, coverage, colour and overall finish.
- Operating and monitoring curing equipment/ovens.
- Inspecting finished components for defects and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Identifying and rectifying imperfections where required.
- Maintaining powder coating equipment and keeping the work area clean and organised.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Working to production schedules and meeting required quality standards.
You may have previously worked as a:
- Powder Coater/Sprayer
- Powder Coater
- Powder Coating Operative
- Paint Sprayer
- Industrial Painter
- Spray Painter
You should have:
- Previous powder coating or industrial spraying experience.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Experience preparing and masking components.
- Good understanding of paint/coating processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
- A reliable and hardworking approach.
