  • Prepare clear and comprehensive reports detailing study outcomes, recommendations and design considerations.
  • Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation.
  • Ensure outputs are delivered in accordance with project programmes and quality standards.
Continuous Professional Development
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, standards and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of simulation tools, modelling techniques and internal processes.
  • Engage in technical training and professional development opportunities.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in power systems engineering within a consultancy, contractor or client environment.
  • Proficiency in power system modelling software, ideally ETAP, although experience with DigSilent PowerFactory or SKM will also be considered.
  • Experience carrying out:
    • Load Flow Studies
    • Short Circuit Analysis
    • Protection Coordination Studies
    • Arc Flash Studies
    • Harmonic Studies
    • Cable Sizing Calculations
  • Understanding of electrical machine modelling, including generators, transformers, motors and UPS systems.

  • Knowledge of power systems control and SCADA systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience within data centres, mission critical environments or large-scale infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
  • Experience of Earthing Studies and Transient Stability Studies would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of international engineering standards and the operation of a global consultancy environment is desirable.
Benefits
  • 23 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with length of service
