Our client Scottish Power Transmissions are currently recruiting for a Power Platform Developer to join their team based in Cambuslang on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer who has experience in building power apps and the integration of AI within existing business processes. Job Purpose Statement
Support the Project Design and Engineering team in digitising core business processes through the development of Power Platform applications, automation, reporting and data solutions.

The department delivers engineering design services for the Core Project department.
Accountability Statements

1. Design, develop and implement Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse to meet business requirements.

2. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

3. Develop automated workflows and system integrations across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure and third-party applications using APIs and connectors.

4. Build, test, validate and deploy applications and automations, ensuring quality, security and performance standards are met.

5. Create and maintain AI-enabled solutions using Copilot Studio, AI Builder and intelligent automation capabilities.

6. Manage application lifecycle activities, including solution management, version control, deployment pipelines and continuous improvement.

7. Support and maintain live solutions, troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance and delivering enhancements where required.

8. Produce technical documentation, provide user support and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.

9. Run regular reports and respond to data queries.

10. Act as single point of contact for the department’s KPI reporting and project tracking.

11. Local department expert in document control package ACC Autodesk (Forma).

12. Interface with supporting departments within wider SPEN business to rationalise data, streamline data quality, validity and source.
Dimensions

Manage the data and reporting platforms across a department of 150 people.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Recognised qualification in IT, Data Management, Software Development or proven experience.
• Awareness of engineering project delivery.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses.

Manage multiple priorities across department leaders. Manage own work and work autonomously.
