PPA Cover Teacher in Sutton

£160 - £200 per day. Salary depends on experience and pay scale position, with the maximum applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience. Relevant qualifications are also taken into account.

Start date: 19 October 2026 | full-time, long-term, temporary

Hours: Term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

If you enjoy the pace of working with different classes, this PPA opportunity offers plenty of variety. You will deliver purposeful primary lessons during teachers’ planned release time, establishing rapport quickly and leaving a useful handover for each class. • Teach planned lessons across agreed primary classes
  

• Adapt tasks and explanations to pupils’ ages and learning needs
  

• Maintain established routines and work effectively with support staff
  

• Check understanding and share a clear handover with class teachers
  

• UK QTS and a recognised teaching qualification
  

• Primary teaching experience and confidence across different year groups
  

• Strong classroom management, preparation and communication skills
  

• A commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
