Are you a Machine Operator, Production Operative or Fabrication Operative looking to develop your skills and train as a CNC Press Brake Operator?
We're recruiting for an established UK manufacturer in Basingstoke offering an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, engineering or workshop experience to develop into a skilled Press Brake Operator.
Previous press brake experience is not essential. If you're practical, comfortable working around machinery and have the right attitude and aptitude to learn, full training and support will be provided.
The RoleWorking within the fabrication department, you'll be trained to:

Set and operate CNC press brake machinery

Select and set tooling for different jobs

Read engineering drawings and job instructions

Produce accurate sheet metal components
-
Use measuring equipment and carry out quality checks

Work with mild steel, stainless steel and galvanised materials

Identify and resolve basic production issues
The company operates Amada and LVD press brakes, and you'll work alongside experienced colleagues while developing your skills.
About YouWe're interested in candidates with some previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, automotive or workshop environment.
Your background could include:
Machine Operator | Production Operative | Fabrication Operative | Laser Operator | Punch Operator | Sheet Metal Worker | Engineering Operative | Automotive Production | CNC Operator
You don't need to be an experienced Press Brake Setter.
What matters is that you:

Have some manufacturing, engineering or workshop experience

Are practical and mechanically minded

Are comfortable working with machinery

Have good attention to detail

Take quality and safety seriously

Are reliable and keen to learn

Want to develop your technical skills
Any experience reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment or working with fabrication machinery would be advantageous.
Pay & Benefits-
£18.50 per hour

Permanent night shift
-
Weekday overtime paid at time and one-third
-
Up to 2 hours' overtime per day available during the week

Saturday overtime paid at time and one-half, with a full day potentially available
-
25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays

Pension after 12 weeks – 4% employee / 5% employer contribution

Full CNC press brake training and development
