Actio Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established fabrication company based in Manchester. Our client is looking to add an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to their skilled manufacturing team.

The Role

As a Press Brake Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to manufacture high-quality sheet metal components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC press brake machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select the correct tooling and carry out machine set-ups.
• Produce components to the required quality standards and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Work safely and follow all company health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
