Pay Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour incl. shift allowance, depending on experience
Shift: 2:00pm - 12:00am or 4:00pm - 2:00am

A well-established manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its fabrication department by appointing an experienced and reliable Press Brake Charge Team Leader. This is a key role within the operation, supporting daily production flow and ensuring production targets are met.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Team Leader to join a permanent late shift team at their Leicester based factory. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sheet metal folder who is ready to take on a leadership role within a growing team.

You'll be responsible for leading a small team of 2-5 operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards, and providing first-line support for any production issues that arise during the shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small late shift production team.
  • Ensure daily production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • Set priorities and organise workloads for the late shift.
  • Liaise with the day shift Team Leaders during shift handovers to ensure a smooth transition and clear production priorities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide first-line problem solving.
  • Support continuous improvement within the department.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Folder is essential.
  • Experience in a Chargehand, Team Leader, or supervisory role is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate a small team and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.

Training & Development

Full training will be provided on non-folding processes, including robotic welding, enabling the successful candidate to carry out first-line fault finding and provide wider support across the department.
