Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow, and succeed? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Lincoln. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in developing academically, socially, and emotionally within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support for pupils across the primary age range. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom through engaging and interactive activities.
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
  • Assisting children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation.
  • Monitoring pupils' progress and sharing observations with teaching staff.
  • Promoting children's wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment of learning throughout the school day.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to supporting classroom activities.
  • Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable but not essential.
