A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tulse Hill, Lambeth is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to take on a Year 3 class following the October half-term break.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for a maternity cover position where they can settle into an established class and become a valued member of the school community. The school has a strong focus on pupil progress, positive behaviour and creating an environment where children feel confident and ready to learn.

You will take responsibility for a Year 3 class and will be supported by an experienced teaching team. The school has established curriculum plans in place, allowing the successful teacher to focus on delivering engaging lessons and getting to know their pupils.

You will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
• Build positive relationships and establish clear classroom expectations
• Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and adapt teaching
• Support pupils of different abilities through appropriate differentiation
• Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to maximise pupil progress
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

The school would like to hear from a Primary Teacher who:

• Holds QTS
• Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Can confidently manage a Year 3 classroom
• Has strong behaviour management and high expectations
• Is organised, adaptable and able to work as part of a team
• Is committed to ensuring every pupil makes progress

Both experienced teachers and strong ECTs with relevant Year 3 experience may be considered.
