Job Details

Role: Primary Teacher
Location: Rochdale
Start: September 2026
Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £130–£170 per day DOE.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engaging lessons that follow school planning and the Primary curriculum.
• Make appropriate adjustments to teaching and activities to support different learning needs.
• Set clear expectations and create a classroom environment that is positive and purposeful.
• Manage behaviour confidently while maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere.
• Check pupil understanding and respond to progress throughout the school day.
• Work alongside Teaching Assistants and other school staff to support learning.
• Encourage pupils to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

About You

• QTS.
• A good understanding of the Primary curriculum.
• Confident delivering lessons and taking responsibility for a classroom.
• Effective behaviour management skills.
• Able to quickly adapt to different schools, classes and pupil needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Reliable, positive and committed to supporting pupils’ progress.

Requirements

• An up-to-date CV including your full education and employment history.
• Proof of Right to Work and UK address.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• At least 2 professional references.
• A professional and dependable approach to work.
