Primary Teaching Assistant - Monmouthshire

Academics, a specialist education recruitment agency, is working with an inclusive primary school in Monmouthshire that is looking to welcome a friendly and committed Teaching Assistant to its team.

The school is proud of its supportive atmosphere and places a real emphasis on helping pupils become confident, independent learners. You'll be working alongside experienced teaching staff and will play an important role in supporting children throughout their school day.

Your role will involve:

• Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities

• Working with individuals and small groups

• Helping pupils stay focused and engaged with their work

• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence

• Providing additional support to pupils

• Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation

• Supporting pupils during transitions, break times and other activities where required

• Developing positive relationships with children and staff

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Appropriate Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Two recent professional references
• Willingness to complete our straightforward registration process
• Previous experience working with children is desirable
