Principal Scientist | Analytical Development | Pharmaceuticals

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Scientist with strong analytical method development expertise to take on a project leadership role within a global pharmaceutical organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analytical method development and optimisation projects, with chromatography as the core technical focus including HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS and SFC.
• Provide expert input into method validation protocols and reports.
• Lead projects and provide technical direction across multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as a key client contact, confidently addressing challenging technical questions and project issues.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex analytical challenges.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to analytical scientists.
• Ensure analytical activities are delivered to appropriate quality and GMP standards.

Key Requirements

• Strong industry background in analytical chemistry, ideally within a CRO/CDMO, pharmaceutical or similar environment.
• Extensive experience in chromatographic method development.
• Proven experience working with method validation protocols and reports.
• Strong project management and/or scientific leadership experience.
• Confident, professional and technically credible when dealing directly with clients.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex analytical problems and communicate solutions effectively.
• Strong GMP experience.
