We are currently working with a highly respected and well-established legal firm to recruit a Paralegal to join their Edinburgh office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team, working across both Private Wealth and Plot Sales Property. You'll join a business with an excellent reputation, a strong client base, and a genuine commitment to developing and supporting its people.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage their own residential conveyancing caseload, supporting private individuals and major housebuilders through the sales, purchases, transfers of title, and new build property transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
• Supporting the sale, purchase, and transfer of residential properties
• Preparing legal correspondence and documentation on behalf of solicitors
• Drafting LBTT returns and completing registration documentation
• Ordering legal reports, title information, and plans
• Liaising closely with the legal support team to ensure an excellent client experience
• Progressing transactions efficiently while meeting agreed timescales
• Producing regular reports on applications, sales progression, and completed transactions
• Attending relevant training, CPD events, and networking opportunities
• Supporting business development activities where appropriate

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal
• Strong knowledge of Scottish residential conveyancing processes
• Understanding of both Sasine and Land Registered titles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
• Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines within a busy environment
