Job Title: Process Operations Trainer
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £40k
Our client is seeking a Process Operations Trainer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for the Process Industry Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard. The Process Operations Trainer role combines classroom-based learning with practical training using workshop facilities, process training rigs and pilot plant equipment to develop apprentices' knowledge, skills and behaviours for safe and effective performance in industry.
You will deliver engaging training, assess learner progress, develop practical training resources, support curriculum improvement, and ensure all delivery reflects current industry practices, health and safety standards, and apprenticeship requirements.

- Do you have strong practical knowledge of process operations, plant systems and safe working practices?
- Do you have experience of working in or around operational plant, production environments or pilot facilities?
- Do you have the ability to demonstrate and coach practical skills effectively in a workshop or plant environment?
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and practical training aligned to the apprenticeship standard.
- Coach learners in core process operations, safe working practices and plant operations.
- Assess learner competence and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and improve learning resources and practical training activities.
- Support curriculum development and blended learning.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience within the process, manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Level 4 qualification (or above) in a process, engineering or science-related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of process operations, plant systems and industrial health and safety.
- Excellent communication and learner engagement skills.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (Level 4+) or willingness to achieve one.
- Experience delivering or assessing apprenticeships, particularly the Process Industry Manufacturing Technician standard.
- Knowledge of ESFA, Ofsted and e-portfolio systems such as OneFile or Smart Assessor.
