Description
As Procurement Assistant you will report into the Commercial Manager, duties will include, however, not be limited to:
- Assist in preparing and issuing contracts in line with procurement guidelines.
- Support the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers to ensure the best value for the organisation.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Support the category team with sourcing activities focused around, online tender set-up in our e-sourcing platform
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and priorities.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain service quality.
- Responsible for the proactive maintenance of the Approved Vendor List
- Assist in analysing cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement efficiency.
- Ensure procurement practices adhere to sustainability and ethical standards.
Profile
A successful Procurement Assistant should have:
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
