Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Procurement Business Partner - Capital Projects to provide senior procurement support to the Capital Projects Team across the UK.

Job Overview

This is a pivotal role within a high-profile account, working in partnership with capital project leadership to shape and deliver procurement strategies that maximise efficiency, ensure value for money, and uphold high standards of quality and compliance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and best practice across the supply chain, managing complex tendering processes, and ensuring robust contractual governance. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will influence key decisions, build strong supplier relationships, and support the successful delivery of major capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Capital Projects team to ensure value for money on all project procurements.
  • Assist in selecting skilled Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chain partners for project delivery.
  • Manage competitive tendering processes using the Scanmarket tool.
  • Coordinate supplier rotation boards to maintain balanced workloads and prevent delivery failures.
  • Lead the mobilisation of new suppliers, ensuring compliance, assurance requirements, and contractual flowdowns are met.
  • Drive improved compliance with preferred supplier agreements and ensure all suppliers meet minimum assurance standards.
  • Act as the link between the account team and Procurement to align strategies and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing development, benchmarking, and improvement for the Procurement function on the account.

Person Specification

  • Extensive and proven procurement experience, ideally within construction and capital projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of construction methods, technology, and standard forms of measurement.
  • Knowledge and experience of NEC contracts.
  • CIPS certification and/or MBA highly desirable.
  • BPSS Security Clearance required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
