A Procurement Manager is required for Broady Flow Control Ltd, an established UK manufacturer of safety-critical valve products used across demanding sectors including defence, oil and gas. This is a key appointment for the business, with the successful Procurement Manager taking ownership of the purchasing function and helping shape its future strategic direction.
As Procurement Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing and executing a new purchasing strategy, reviewing the existing supplier base and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, delivery and supply-chain resilience. Broady currently manages approximately £5m of supplier spend across around 100 suppliers, with a significant proportion concentrated among a smaller number of key suppliers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager or Supply Chain professional from an engineering or manufacturing environment who enjoys challenging existing processes, developing supplier relationships and taking a more strategic approach to purchasing.

- Make a direct impact on cost, supplier performance, delivery, quality and supply-chain resilience.
- Join an established valve manufacturer where procurement is becoming an increasingly strategic part of the business.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Develop, implement and execute a purchasing and category strategy aligned with wider business objectives.
- Review supplier spend, sourcing routes and existing supplier relationships to identify commercial and operational improvements.
- Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, OTD, risk and continuity of supply.
- Source and negotiate engineered components and materials including castings, forgings, machined components and other manufactured parts.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and the wider group purchasing function to improve overall procurement performance.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven experience within procurement, purchasing or supply chain management in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience developing and implementing purchasing, category or strategic sourcing strategies.
- Experience managing significant supplier spend, commercial negotiations and supplier performance.
- A good understanding of engineered components, manufacturing supply chains and materials such as castings, forgings and machined parts.
- A proactive, commercially focused approach with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive measurable improvements.
