Product Development Associate

Our client, a prominent entity in the hospitality sector, is currently inviting applications for a permanent role in Product Development. This position is pivotal in driving the development and project management of new products, including cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in global meetings for project and product development, as well as tenders
- Briefing projects to Global Product Development teams, including design, R&D, and engineering
- Preparation of mechanical artwork request forms ensuring regional regulatory compliance for label printing
- Managing communication with suppliers for cost quoting, filling in RFPs, and preparing timelines
- Coordinating the review and approval of pre-production samples before mass production
- Cross-functional teamwork with Sales, Global & Regional Product Development, Brand, Design, Marketing, Engineering, and Quality teams
- Preparing new product codes and detailed product specifications
- Updating internal teams on cosmetic product safety assessments for new products
- Ensuring formula compliance with UK & EU Cosmetic Regulations
- Conducting sustainability package quality checks and providing development insights
- Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to gather formulation documents
- Attending exhibitions to explore new product opportunities if necessary
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder, preferably in Cosmetics, Chemical, or a related field
- Experience in international business trade, hospitality, and personal care sectors is preferable
- Experience with hospitality product ranges and personal care cosmetics development
- Knowledge in costing analysis, formula development, EU/UK compliance, and sustainability package sourcing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for timeline creation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into business insights
- Ability to work independently under pressure and multi-task effectively
- Hands-on, meticulous, positive, and proactive attitude
