Production Controller

Holt Engineering is recruiting for a Production Controller to join a busy and established automotive operation based in Poole.
This is a hands-on quality role, ideal for someone with a good understanding of cars and vehicle parts who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for checking a wide variety of automotive components, from smaller individual parts through to larger items such as headlights and engines, ensuring everything meets the required quality standards before being prepared for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect automotive parts for damage, defects and overall condition
- Prepare components ready for quality checks and photography
- Photograph parts accurately in line with quality standards
- Correctly identify, label and tag automotive components
- Ensure parts are allocated to the correct designated areas
- Identify and process damaged or unsuitable parts
- Clean and prepare components where required
- Package products carefully and securely ready for dispatch
- Accurately update information using internal systems, tablets and mobile devices
- Work closely with warehouse, production and quality teams
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- A good basic knowledge of cars or being mechanically minded
- Previous experience within quality control, automotive, warehouse, production or a similar hands-on environment would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify damage or defects
- Comfortable using computers, tablets and mobile technology
- Previous manual handling experience
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work accurately while processing a high volume of parts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Happy to work the weekly rotating shift pattern
