Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading advanced manufacturing business in their search for a Production Engineer to join their aerospace manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regulated environment, where you'll play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction (NPI) and driving continuous improvement across production. - Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies
- Provide technical support to production, resolving manufacturing issues and improving efficiency
- Produce and maintain work instructions, routings and process documentation
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacture (DFM/DFA)
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), including tooling, fixtures and process validation
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
- Analyse production data to improve quality, cycle times and cost efficiency
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Manufacturing teams
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and industry best practice
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stainless steel forming, spot welding and riveting
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience using core quality tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, FAIR and APQP
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience working to AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (desirable)
- Experience with CAD, manufacturing planning software, tooling or process validation (desirable)
