Yolk Recruitment are supporting an established manufacturing business in Pontypool with the search of a Quality Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production environment where you'll play a vital role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before they reach customers.

As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for inspecting materials, components and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. Working closely with Production and the wider Quality team, you'll identify non-conformances, maintain accurate inspection records and help drive continuous improvement to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities:

• Inspect raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Carry out visual, mechanical and functional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• Perform measurements and testing in line with established procedures and specifications.
• Identify defects, deviations and non-conformances, reporting findings to Production and Quality Management.
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records and reports.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities when quality issues arise.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.
• Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is what you'll need:

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, QC Inspector or Quality Control role.
• Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential
