Yolk Recruitment is supporting a leading international manufacturing business with the recruitment of an experienced Production Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional with a background in production management, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPI management and team leadership to take ownership of production performance within an established global organisation.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and performance of the production operation, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with the Factory Manager and wider site leadership team, you will lead production teams, optimise resources and capacity, monitor operational KPIs and drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and optimise production schedules, resources and capacity to achieve operational targets.
  • Lead day-to-day production operations, ensuring output, quality, cost and delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on production KPIs, identifying trends and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, workflow optimisation, efficiency and productivity.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and employee engagement across the production function.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality legislation, company policies and site standards.
  • Ensure production processes and quality assurance procedures are followed and products consistently meet required standards.
  • Lead, coach, develop and motivate production teams to maximise performance, capability and engagement.
  • Support recruitment, training, performance management, employee development and employee relations in line with company policies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives aligned with individual and business goals.
  • Prepare and present monthly operational performance reports, including KPIs, improvement activity and action plans.

  • Experience working as a Production Manager within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • A strong track record of achieving and sustaining production and operational performance targets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
