Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Production Material handler to work for a company in Banbury

Role: Production Material handler

Salary: £13.25 per hour

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Hours: Monday - Friday, Shift patterns - 07:00-15:15 or 15:00-23:15 or 23:00-07:15

Key Responsibilities of the Production Material handler:

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Load and move production materials as required.
  • Supply materials to production areas to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
  • Change material bags safely and efficiently when required.
  • Wrap and prepare pallets for storage or movement.
  • Check and confirm pallet IDs to ensure the correct materials are being handled.
  • Move completed or prepared pallets to the correct storage or production location.
  • Load and unload materials and deliveries.
  • Ensure all materials are stored safely and correctly.
  • Carry out stock and material checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Follow all company health & safety, quality and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when required.

About you:

  • Holds a valid and in-date Counterbalance certificate
  • Has previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
  • Ideally has experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment.
  • Is confident handling and moving materials safely.
  • Has good attention to detail, particularly when checking pallet IDs and locations.
  • Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Can follow instructions and health & safety procedures.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
