Production Operative

We are recruiting for Production Operative roles in the Castle Vale area of Birmingham. You will be working for a leading manufacturer producing floor, wall and ceiling frameworks for modular housing projects across the UK.

• Rate of Pay: £13.45 to £15.47 per hour, depending on the shift
• Hours of Work: Rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm
• Night Shift: 10pm-6am
• Location: Castle Vale, Birmingham, B35
• Duration: Ongoing

Candidates must be flexible and able to work the required rotating shift pattern.

• Using hand tools and air-powered tools safely

• Operating saws, cutting machines and other production equipment

• Positioning parts and sub-assemblies using templates and measurements

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Working to dimensional and quality standards

• Following Standard Operating Procedures

• Carrying out production and assembly duties

• Following all health and safety procedures

• Working independently and as part of a production team

• Maintaining a clean and organised working area

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment

• Experience operating machinery or using hand and power tools

• Transferable experience from construction, carpentry, roofing, bricklaying or similar practical roles may be considered

• Able to understand measurements and engineering drawings

• Comfortable carrying out physical and manual duties

• Flexible and able to work rotating shifts

• Pay rates of up to £15.47 per hour

• Weekly pay

• Regular Monday to Friday shifts
