Bellow & Gimbal Production Operative
To manufacture and machine various assemblies using recognised trade skills under the supervision of a Team Leader. Producing quality finished components to drawings and routing requirements that meet Aerospace standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembling and welding using a resistance/seam welding machine to customer requirements using various metals and hand skills (stainless steel, titanium, Inconel)
- Assembling and welding using automated TIG welding machine to customer requirements using various metals and hand skills (stainless steel, titanium, Inconel)
- Forming & trimming bellows on fully automated, semi-automated and manual bellows forming machine
- To work with the laboratory to ensure that weld test is sufficient
- To work to drawing and route cards requirements
- To obtain and maintain Operator verification approval stamps
- To work efficiently within agreed standards
- To assist in introducing new techniques and improved methods of working where possible
- To be responsible for general housekeeping and tidiness on the shop
- To bring forward ideas to improve and reduce costs in production where possible
- To be conversant with all relevant AWPS and operating procedures used on the above job description
- To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates where required
