Production Operative - Bay F

Are you an experienced Production Operative looking for a new challenge? We are currently hiring for temporary, ongoing roles at Caterpillar's facility in Larne. Join a world-class team and enjoy a 4-day working week (Monday - Thursday) with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

• Assemble sub-assemblies, options, and other components of generator sets.
• Work from technical prints and standard work instructions to produce high-quality generator components and large assemblies.
• Rotate across various areas of the business, including the machine shop, paintline, nutsert, and assembly stations.
• Ensure full compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and the 5S programme.
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives and display conduct aligned with our Values in Action.
• Support the team by training other employees as required and performing other appropriate duties.

Required Qualifications:

• The ability to use hand tools, power tools, and to be able to read and interpret drawings.
• Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns
• Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment
• Previous electrical/mechanical experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a lean environment.
• Experience working to takt times.
• Reasonable level of computer literacy where required.

Hours of work and salary:

• Day Shift - £14.27/hr.
• Night Shift - £19.03/hr.
• Overtime - £21.41/hr (First ten hours)
• Overtime - £28.54/hr. (After ten hours overtime)
• 37.5 hours per week. (Mon - Thurs)

Shifts:

Day shift- Monday: 07:00 - 17:15, Tues - Thurs: 07:00 -16:45,*

Night shift- Monday: 21:00 - 07:15, Tues - Thurs: 21:00 - 06:45*
