Production Operator – Corrugated Packaging

Location: Desborough
Salary: £13.34 per hour (days) - £14.66 per hour (nights)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern:

Rotating Double Days – 6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm

Nights - 10:00pm-06:00am (must be able to complete training on double days until January) it training is still paid at night rate

We are currently looking for Production Operators to join a busy and successful packaging manufacturing operation in Desborough.

The Role

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating production machinery and helping to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Your duties will include:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery.

• Setting and preparing machinery for production.

• Loading and handling raw materials.

• Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.

• Ensuring products meet customer and company specifications.

• Working to daily production targets.

• Identifying and reporting any machinery or production issues.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

• Following all company health and safety procedures.

• Working effectively as part of a team.

Shift Pattern

You will work a rotating double-day shift:

Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Monday to Friday.

or

Night shift

10:00pm - 6:00am

Monday to Friday

About You

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals who are keen to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operating, paper, printing or corrugated packaging would be advantageous, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.

You should have:

• A good work ethic and reliable attendance.

• Good attention to detail.

• The ability to work as part of a team.

• A willingness to learn new skills.

• The ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.

• A flexible approach to working rotating shifts.
