About the Role
We are exclusively supporting an established and successful food manufacturing business in the Wrexham area who is seeking Production Operators to join its production team. This role is responsible for ensuring daily production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety.
Working as part of a multi-skilled team, you will play a key role in achieving production targets, maintaining equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver production targets while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency standards.
- Operate, monitor, clean and maintain production equipment.
- Handle raw materials and packaging materials in line with company procedures.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specification and legal standards.
- Complete routine cleaning and hygiene activities.
- Carry out basic autonomous maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Environmental policies.
- Escalate production, quality or equipment issues when required.
- Participate in audits, near-miss reporting and continuous improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain production flow and performance.
- Attend training sessions, coaching programmes and team meetings.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- The ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of performance metrics and production standards.
- A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude.
- Experience working with standardised processes and achieving targets within set timeframes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
- An understanding of lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
