Production Operator

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: £26,436 per annum (£12.71 per hour)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Packaging Operator to join a rapidly growing manufacturer following significant investment in new production and packaging lines.

Operating from a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, the company produces and packages a range of pharmaceutical products supplied to major retailers across the UK. Due to continued growth and increased production capacity, they are now looking to recruit several Packaging Operators to support their expanding operation.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with experience operating automated or semi-automated machinery within a manufacturing environment who are looking to join a stable and growing business with clear progression opportunities.

Industry - Manufacturing 

• Operate packaging and production lines efficiently to achieve daily and weekly output targets.
• Complete machine set-ups, changeovers and clean-downs within agreed timeframes.
• Load components and materials to ensure continuous production line operation.
• Carry out in-process quality checks in line with company procedures.
• Complete production paperwork and batch documentation accurately.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and escalate issues when required.
• Minimise downtime and waste to maximise operational efficiency.
• Move materials and pallets safely using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout production areas.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, GMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or packaging environment.
• Experience operating automated or semi-automated production machinery.

• Experience working within pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
