Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Dewsbury as they look to recruit an experienced Production Planner to join their operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised planner with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365. You'll play a key role in ensuring production schedules are delivered efficiently, customer demand is met, and operational performance is continually improved.

The Role

As Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and managing production plans that maximise manufacturing efficiency while ensuring customer delivery deadlines are achieved. Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Warehouse teams, you'll coordinate resources, materials and capacity to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Plan manufacturing activities in line with customer demand and business priorities.
  • Monitor production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure material availability.
  • Manage and maintain production planning data within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules where necessary.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate production priorities and schedule changes across departments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
  • Produce planning reports and KPIs for management.
The Candidate

The successful candidate will have previous production planning experience within a manufacturing environment and be confident working with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.

You will also have:

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner or Manufacturing Planner position.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • A good understanding of production planning, scheduling and capacity management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
