Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a well-established engineering business based in Bradford as they look to appoint an experienced Production Planner to join their operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented planning professional to join a business that designs, manufactures, and delivers high-quality engineered products to clients across a range of sectors. Our client places real value on operational efficiency, and this role will sit at the heart of ensuring production runs smoothly, on time, and to specification.

The Role:
As Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity. You'll work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure materials, resources, and capacity are aligned to meet delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining detailed production schedules based on sales orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints
  • Liaising with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components
  • Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules to address delays or bottlenecks
  • Working closely with manufacturing teams to optimise workflow and resource allocation
  • Managing and prioritising a dynamic order book in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Producing regular reports on production performance, capacity utilisation, and schedule adherence
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the planning function

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Production Planner, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across departments and challenge where necessary
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive under pressure
