The job you’ll do:

  • Capacity Planning & Forecasting
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive capacity plan covering all business functions, including: Engineering, Procurement, Assembly, Inspection and testing, Quality & Projects
  • Project support functions
  • Provide accurate visibility of: Available labour hours, Planned workload, Resource gaps, Department constraints and Potential delivery risks
  • Maintain forward-looking capacity plans covering current projects, secured orders, and future quoted opportunities.
  • Support strategic workforce planning by identifying when additional resources, subcontract support, training, or investment may be required.
  • Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules to understand the impact of current and future workload.
  • Develop planning models that demonstrate: Department loading, Labour demand versus availability, Project resource requirements, Critical bottlenecks and Delivery risks
  • Work with department managers to validate resource assumptions and improve planning accuracy.
  • Identify conflicting priorities and recommend mitigation actions.

About you:

  • Proven experience in capacity planning, production planning, resource scheduling, or operations planning within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and resource constraints.
  • Experience developing resource-loaded schedules and capacity models.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including: Complex formulas, Pivot tables, Data analysis, Reporting dashboards, Capacity modelling
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data and convert information into clear business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Well organised and self-motivated
  • Able to work well both independently and within a team
