Title: Production Scheduler
Pay rate: Up to £30.76 per hour (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Contract: 12-Month Interim Assignment
Location: Broughton
We are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join a leading global aerospace organisation. Working as part of a collaborative planning team, you will play a key role in ensuring production schedules are aligned with customer delivery requirements, resource availability, and operational objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production planning or scheduling experience who enjoys working with data, collaborating across multiple departments, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) to support business delivery requirements.
- Develop and update tactical production plans to optimise manufacturing performance.
- Monitor work package progress and adherence to production schedules.
- Perform capacity and resource planning calculations to ensure workforce and workload alignment.
- Support recovery planning activities and identify opportunities to improve production performance.
- Conduct scenario analysis to support operational and strategic planning decisions.
- Generate and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor planning effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, HR, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver planning objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function.
Must have:
- Experience within a Production Planning, Scheduling, Manufacturing Planning or Operations Planning environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Good knowledge of digital tools such as Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience producing and managing Master Production Schedules (MPS).
- Understanding of capacity planning and resource modelling.
- Knowledge of scenario planning and production optimisation techniques.
- Basic Python programming skills for data analysis and reporting.
