We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager on a live construction project in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.
This is a hands-on Project Coordinator role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the action and can help keep the day-to-day running of a busy construction project organised and on track.
Working alongside the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will liaise with contractors, subcontractors and site visitors, support site administration and help ensure project documentation, health & safety records and site arrangements are maintained accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the construction project.
- Assist with site health & safety activities, including toolbox talks and contractor inductions.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site visitors.
- Complete daily project reports and maintain accurate site records.
- Maintain drawing registers, project documentation and project management systems.
- Arrange site visits for employees, contractors and subcontractors.
- Support diary management, meetings and general project administration.
- Maintain accident and working-time statistics.
- Assist with site logistics and statutory approval paperwork.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a practical and organised Project Coordinator with previous experience in project coordination, site administration, construction or a similar environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Previous experience supporting construction, engineering or site-based projects.
- Practical site supervision or coordination experience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A confident, approachable communication style when dealing with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently while providing dependable support to the Project Manager.
An FLT or MEWP licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
This Project Coordinator opportunity would suit someone looking to take on a varied, hands-on role within a major construction project, with plenty of responsibility across site coordination, administration, contractors and project support.
