Project Engineer
Elev8 Recruitment Ltd
Project Engineer
West Yorkshire | £50,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Training
Some project engineering roles are heavily segmented.
Quotations sit with sales. Manufacturing sits elsewhere. Customer management gets handed around.
That’s not the setup here.
This business designs and manufactures bespoke LV switchgear and power distribution systems for industrial and infrastructure customers across the UK. Projects are varied, technically detailed, and handled with a high level of ownership internally.
They’re looking for a Project Engineer who wants involvement across the full project lifecycle, from order intake through to manufacturing, customer management, testing, and final delivery.
The role will include:
- Managing projects from order through to completion
- Producing electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Specifying and ordering materials
- Working closely with manufacturing teams during build
- Managing FAT/SAT activity and installations
- Handling customer communication and technical queries throughout delivery
The environment suits someone who enjoys variety. No two projects are identical, and engineers here are expected to stay close to both the customer and the manufacturing side of the business.
You’ll need:
- Experience delivering electrical engineering projects
- A background within LV switchgear, control panels, or power distribution
- Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings
- Experience using AutoCAD and ideally Inventor
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- HNC or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
What’s on offer:
- £50,000 - £65,000 salary
- Pension
- Ongoing technical training
- Monday to Friday working hours
- Real long-term progression opportunities
The business is flexible on level and background. They’re open to speaking with people already operating as Project Engineers, but also engineers with strong technical foundations who want to move into a broader customer-facing project role.
