Project Lead – Data Centre Construction

£110,000 - £120,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Living Allowance

We're recruiting for an experienced Project Lead to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, England.
 

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of a flagship mission-critical project, taking full responsibility for project performance from construction through to client handover. You'll oversee programme delivery, commercial performance, subcontractors, and stakeholder management while ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
 

As Project Lead, you'll work closely with the Project Director and senior leadership team, driving project success across all disciplines while leading high-performing site and commercial teams.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall delivery of the project from construction through to handover.
• Manage project budgets, programme, costs and commercial performance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Monitor project milestones and proactively manage programme risks.
• Lead client meetings and project coordination meetings.
• Review construction proposals, procurement strategies and project costs.
• Support engineering and design teams during project delivery.
• Manage long-lead equipment, procurement and delivery schedules.
• Review invoices, valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Oversee project close-out, commissioning support and client handover.
• Drive Health & Safety, quality and project performance across the site.


Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Project Lead, Project Manager or Project Director role.
• Proven experience delivering major construction projects.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management experience.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, procurement and project controls.
• Previous experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Infrastructure or Pharmaceutical projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within fast-paced construction environments.
