Hours: 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday (office-based, no hybrid)
Contract: Permanent

Overview
An opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of customer programmes and manufacturing projects within a high-precision aerospace environment. You'll be the key link between customers, suppliers and internal departments, coordinating activity to ensure orders are delivered on time, within budget and fully compliant with AS9100, customer requirements and company procedures.
You'll oversee planning and delivery across CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, heat treatment, surface treatments, assembly, inspection and subcontract processing, while leading the Production Control team to strengthen planning, scheduling, material availability and capacity management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multiple customer programmes from order receipt/contract review through to final delivery, in line with the order book.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, risk/mitigation actions and recovery plans to protect OTD/OTIF.
- Lead the Production Control team responsible for production planning and scheduling across all manufacturing activities.
- Align schedules to customer requirements and available capacity; review and prioritise work orders to maximise throughput.
- Monitor daily progress, remove bottlenecks, and lead daily/weekly production review meetings.
- Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Logistics to ensure resources, tooling, materials and documentation are in place and controlled.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors (materials, machining support, heat treatment, plating, painting, NDT and other special processes); expedite critical deliveries and resolve issues impacting schedules.
- Ensure subcontract activity meets aerospace quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Use MRP/ERP systems to manage demand, material availability, job progression, capacity considerations and delivery commitments.
- Lead NPI and build-to-print projects, ensuring specifications, routings, work instructions and configuration control are maintained.
- Track operational/financial KPIs, report delivery performance, and drive continuous improvement to reduce lead times and improve planning efficiency.
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits and maintain compliance with AS9100 and company procedures.
Experience & skills
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' Project/Programme Management experience within a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defence/highly regulated preferred).
- Minimum 3 years' supervisory/line management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP and manufacturing planning/scheduling tools.
- Demonstrable experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Desirable / advantageous
- Knowledge of AS9100 and regulated quality/audit environments.
- PRINCE2/APM (or equivalent); PMP, Lean/CI or supply chain qualifications.
- Epicor/Kinetic exposure.
