Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a full façade remediation package valued at £15 million on an education project in Birmingham. This 12-month plus assignment involves managing the fire remediation of non-compliant cladding systems from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a Tier 1 main contractor background with proven façade experience and have FieldView software knowledge. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project including planning, coordination, quality control, health and safety compliance, and stakeholder management. A strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations is essential to ensure full compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires immediate availability or a flexible start date, with the project commencing in August. Due to client requirements, payment will be made via Umbrella only.

Skills:

  • Proven project management experience on façade remediation or similar large-scale construction projects
  • Tier 1 main contractor experience
  • Strong knowledge of façade systems and fire remediation works
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of CDM 2015 compliance
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and supply chain effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Programme and cost control expertise
  • Risk management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Software/Tools:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Project management and scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject) – desirable
  • FieldView

Certifications & Standards:

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – essential
  • First Aid certification – essential
  • CSCS Black Card – essential
  • Recent enhanced DBS – desirable
  • Good understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
