Take the next big step in your career by joining the Sizewell C team! We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to help drive one of the most critical clean-energy infrastructure projects of our time. This is a permanent staff position based in London on a hybrid basis.



About the Role

As part of our dynamic new Business Unit, you will help shape the future of the New Nuclear industry. You will oversee a major 10-year Civil Works Programme, managing complex technical deliverables and ensuring that our projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.



Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Oversight: Take a global view of nuclear power plant Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) within your assigned programme.

  • Engineering Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of engineering studies by the Responsible Designer (RD) or key contractors to meet Sizewell C project goals.

  • Contract Preparation: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare specific post-FID contracts, including terms, technical specifications, and contractual appendices.

  • Design & Interface Management: Drive site-specific design changes and manage both internal interfaces (contracts/systems) and external interfaces (programme scopes) seamlessly.

  • Risk & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage early with stakeholders and suppliers to spot obsolescence issues and protect project replication.

  • Procurement & Technical Leadership: Manage technical elements of procurement, complex contracts, and commercial claim closeouts.

  • Continuous Improvement: Embed lessons-learned and knowledge-capture into daily operations.

  • Control & Governance: Maintain strict control over costs, schedules, risks, and changes using Earned Value tools.



What You'll Need

  • Qualifications: A relevant university degree alongside Chartered status in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Industry Background: Strong background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering for large industrial plants.

  • Lifecycle Experience: Proven experience managing major, technically complex projects from concept through to handover.

  • Leadership & Coordination: Demonstrated success in coordinating and driving multidisciplinary design and procurement teams to meet strict deadlines.

  • Commercial Acumen: Expertise in complex contract management, procurement, and commercial negotiations/claim resolutions.

  • Project Controls: Proficient in cost, risk, and schedule control, including Earned Value management tools.
