Project Manager

Crane Communications (Part if the EA-RS Group) is looking for a Project Manager. This is a hybrid role with regular to sites across London (Within M25) and office locations. The role comes with a car or car allowance to help with travel.

Crane Communications is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading life safety, security and communication specialists. Established in 1976, we have over four decades of experience in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of integrated fire, security, audio-visual and data systems. 

Part of the EA-RS Group, we deliver fire, security, data and audio-visual packages across the commercial, residential, education and retail sectors, working predominantly as a specialist subcontractor to established M&E contractors on live construction sites. 

We are currently in a period of growth and are expanding our projects team. This is an opportunity to join at a key stage, work closely with the Head of Projects, and play a direct role in shaping how we deliver as we scale.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of fire and security projects under JCT contracts, with proven experience delivering £1m+ multi-system projects.

This is a commercially accountable position with full responsibility for programme, margin, cashflow, subcontractor performance and contractual compliance from handover through to final account agreement.

The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to demonstrate strong commercial awareness, contractual knowledge and leadership capability.

You must have a strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems as the core discipline. The following systems typically sit within the fire and security scope, and you should have practical familiarity with the majority: 

• Fire Alarm Systems 
• PAVA (Public Address & Voice Alarm) 
• EVC (Emergency Voice Communication) 
• Access Control 
• CCTV 
• Intruder Alarm 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Project Delivery & Commercial Management 
• Programme & Coordination 
• Subcontractor Management 
• Client & Stakeholder Interface 
• Health & Safety 
• Project Close-Down 

Essentials:

• Proven track record delivering fire and security projects under JCT contracts. 
• Demonstrable experience managing the full commercial lifecycle including applications, valuations and final accounts. 
• Experience managing installation subcontractors both operationally and commercially. 
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing project P&L and forecasting. 
• Experience operating within live construction environments alongside main contractors.
