Lead the Delivery of Major Infrastructure Projects from Concept to Completion
Our Client has a requirement for a Project Manager, who will be required to work on a Permanent basis in Peterborough.

Role Purpose:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects throughout their full lifecycle.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of project solutions to meet quality, cost, safety, and programme objectives.
  • Manage project teams and ensure operational requirements are effectively coordinated.
  • Drive successful project outcomes while maintaining compliance with legislation and governance processes.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across project delivery teams.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects maintain compliance with CDM regulations and delivery processes through audits, reviews, and assurance activities.
  • Champion a Zero Harm culture across all project activities.
  • Create and maintain a high-performing team environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
  • Translate programme-level strategy into successful project delivery outcomes.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initial scope through construction, handover, sign-off, and warranty management.
  • Work closely with commercial and planning teams to maintain accurate cost and resource forecasts.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues where required.
  • Oversee project solutions to ensure they are safe, commercially viable, and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure key project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Create an open, visible, and approachable management style to support successful delivery.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Recent experience within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • Understanding of drinking water standards and project compliance requirements.
  • IOSH qualification.
  • APMP qualification desirable.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of NEC Option C contracts and commercial frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience managing teams within a performance-driven environment.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining oversight of project delivery.
  • Strong delegation, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
