We are currently working with an established and reputable main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a long-term project in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in groundworks, civil engineering and/or RC Frame who is looking for a stable, long-term position with a well-established client. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and overall delivery of the project, working closely with the site team, subcontractors, client and wider project team to ensure the programme is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for overseeing the project programme, managing key deliverables and driving progress on site, with a particular focus on maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring the works remain on programme. The role would suit someone who is commercially and technically aware, highly organised and confident managing both the operational and administrative side of a project.

A strong understanding of construction programmes, drop-line programmes, Friday packs and project reporting is essential, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors. You will need to be confident taking ownership of the project, identifying potential delays or issues early and putting effective measures in place to keep the works progressing.

With long-term work available and an immediate requirement, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join an established contractor and become a key part of their delivery team.

The Role

  • Overall management and delivery of the project
  • Overseeing and managing the project programme, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
  • Producing and maintaining drop-line programmes
  • Preparing and managing Friday packs and weekly project updates
  • Coordinating subcontractors, site teams and suppliers
  • Monitoring progress, productivity and quality across the project
  • Maintaining strong levels of project paperwork and documentation
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards
  • Liaising with the client, consultants and wider project team
  • Managing variations, delays and issues throughout the project
  • Attending progress meetings and providing clear project updates
  • Ensuring health & safety requirements are consistently maintained
  • Driving the project programme and ensuring works remain on track

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within construction
  • Strong background in groundworks, civils and/or RC Frame
  • Excellent understanding of construction programmes and project delivery
  • Confident producing drop-line programmes and Friday packs
  • Strong with paperwork, reporting and project documentation
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple subcontractors and site teams effectively
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Able to take ownership of a project and drive it through to completion
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice
