Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway’s and Energy.

You would be working for a progressive civil engineering subcontractor operating within the non-infrastructure water sector, delivering civil packages projects for Tier 1 contractors on a local five-year water treatment framework. You will be managing a portfolio of projects up to the value of £2m.

With the water industry undergoing a significant and unprecedented increase in capital expenditure — including regulators approving a £104 billion spending plan for the 2025–2030 period (AMP8) — this role offers long-term security and a strong pipeline of local projects over the next five years and beyond.

Due to continuous growth, they are looking for a Project Manager to join their delivery team.

You will be a site-based Project Manager with flexible working arrangements. Projects are located within Basingstoke, Camberley, Bracknell, Windsor, Guildford, Maidenhead and Slough. 

Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring our projects is completed on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
  • Control all aspects of programmes ensuring systems, policies and procedures are fully adhered to.
  • Managing the project lifecycle from end to end: through mobilisation, delivery through to completion and handover.
  • Leading a team of site teams to ensure successful execution of the programme.
  • Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery whilst ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Attend/arrange co-ordination, progress and programme/resource meetings as required with clients.

Experience required:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
  • Preferably the Project Manager will have previous experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries.
  • Or previous experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering and design & build projects.
  • Strong civil engineering background with solid knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
  • Commercial understanding, to assist with reporting and monitoring in line with the contract (Contractors Instruction, Compensation Event, NEC3 processes).
  • Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, A relevant CSCS card, First Aid training and EUSR).

Salary & Benefits

  • £70,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.
