Project Manager

Project Manager required for a medium sized building contractor, for a high rise facade remediation project.
The Project Manager's place of work will be in the Stoke Newington Head Office.
Within the maintenance department, the PM in question will liaising with our high profile clients on daily basis, receiving and going through scope of works, with support of QS will be quoting and tendering for pre-planned maintenance works (PPMs).
Once project is live which could values anywhere between £20k to £500k, the PM is to manage project from beginning to attend, will have full commercial control and will manage sub-contractor.
Essential requirements:
3 to 4 years of construction experience
Has quoting/ tendering experience
Has good communication skills
Has good & proven negotiation skills
Is proactive and can use own initiatives
Has problem solving skills and experience to be familiar with CDM regs
Has reasonable technical understanding
Has reasonable commercial management experience
Has reasonable sub-contractor management experience
Desirable:
Can produce and implement lean processes Is experienced with project management software
Project info:
Project location: Basildon, Essex
Project duration: 12-15 months
Project remit: Remove existing facade to all elevation, remove none fire rated insulation and replace with fire rated insulation, add addition cavity barriers and reinstate all facade types like for like
Duties include:
- Writing and managing the program of facade remediation
- Site communications among the subcontractors and site staff
- Quality Assurance
- Overseeing Design drawings and liaising with third party stakeholders, architects etc
- Liaising with the client
- Visiting site once a week (Basildon)
This role is paying between £50,000 and £60,000 annual salary
