Project Manager - New Mixed-Use Development
Location: London
Contract: Permanent

An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for a brand-new £10 million mixed-use development from commencement through to completion.
The scheme comprises 38 residential flats arranged over four floors, with commercial accommodation at basement and ground-floor levels.
Project scope
  • Concrete raft foundations
  • Reinforced-concrete frame structure
  • Brick and metal external cladding
  • Blue-roof system and attenuation drainage
  • Residential and commercial fit-out
  • Associated hard and soft landscaping
The role
As Project Manager, you will lead the project from the outset, with responsibility for:
  • Managing the programme, budget, quality and health and safety performance
  • Establishing the site and developing effective project-delivery plans
  • Leading the site team, subcontractors, consultants and supply chain
  • Managing procurement, design development and technical coordination
  • Monitoring progress and implementing recovery plans where necessary
  • Chairing project meetings and reporting to senior management and the client
  • Working closely with the commercial team to maintain cost control
  • Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and contractual requirements
  • Overseeing inspections, commissioning, snagging and final handover
About you
The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven experience delivering residential or mixed-use developments of a similar scale
  • A track record of managing construction projects valued at approximately £10 million or above
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced-concrete frame construction, external-envelope packages and drainage systems
  • The ability to lead a project from initial site setup through to successful handover
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong programme, commercial and subcontractor-management capabilities
  • Current SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
  • A relevant construction qualification, such as an HNC, HND or degree, would be advantageous
