Project Manager – Live Healthcare Environment
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading national Facilities Management provider for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple construction projects within a live hospital environment in Halifax.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile healthcare programme, delivering critical refurbishment and infrastructure projects while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a range of refurbishment and modular construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Projects include:
- Construction of modular plant rooms to support refurbished hospital areas.
- Refurbishment and upgrade works to Catheterisation Laboratories (Cath Labs).
- Refurbishment and improvement projects within the Maternity Unit.
- Coordination of works within a live healthcare environment, ensuring patient safety and operational continuity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Liaise with hospital stakeholders, clinical staff and the client team.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Monitor programme, costs, quality and project risks.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and healthcare site procedures.
- Provide regular progress updates to the client and senior management.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering construction or refurbishment projects.
- Previous experience managing projects within a live healthcare environment (essential).
- Experience delivering modular build projects, particularly modular plant rooms or similar off-site construction solutions.
- Experience managing refurbishment projects within operational hospital facilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of construction project delivery and health & safety.
