Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a flagship project from the early stages of construction through to completion. The project is already underway, with construction progressing on site, and is scheduled to run until 2029, providing excellent long-term career stability.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the project on behalf of the main contractor, ensuring programme, quality, safety and commercial objectives are achieved throughout the construction lifecycle.

You will lead the on-site delivery team while coordinating a range of specialist subcontractors across multiple work packages, ensuring all disciplines are working collaboratively to meet project milestones.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex construction programmes within a live, fast-paced environment.

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of a large-scale data centre construction project.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers and specialist subcontractors.
• Monitor programme, budget, quality and health & safety performance.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Chair progress meetings with subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with design, commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Drive programme performance and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Oversee multiple specialist subcontract packages, including mechanical, electrical, controls and other critical infrastructure disciplines.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a main contractor on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience delivering complex projects within sectors such as Data Centres, Mission Critical, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial or Life Sciences.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery from pre-construction through to project completion.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors across various disciplines.
• Excellent programme management and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and construction best practice.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) are desirable.
• SMSTS and CSCS certification preferred.
