Project Planner

Im currently working across permanent planning opportunities with contractors and construction businesses across Yorkshire and the North East, covering both building and infrastructure.

The roles span tender and pre-construction planning through to live project delivery.

The work

Depending on the project and level, responsibilities can include:

Developing and maintaining detailed construction programmes
Tender and pre-construction planning
Programme updates and progress monitoring
Reporting to project and commercial leadership
Construction sequencing and methodology
Programme forecasting
Identifying programme risks and impacts
Delay / impact analysis
Working directly with Project Managers and delivery teams
Supporting commercial and operational decision-making
Experience were looking for
3-5+ years construction planning experience, depending on level
Experience within a main contractor, specialist contractor or construction consultancy
Proven experience developing and managing live construction programmes
Tender and pre-construction planning experience
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodology
Experience working directly with project delivery teams
Progress reporting and programme forecasting experience
Delay / impact analysis experience desirable for senior positions
Qualifications & technical capability
Strong Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject capability
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
Experience working with NEC and/or JCT programmes desirable
Delay analysis experience desirable for senior roles
